Founded in 2008, Ephesians 6-6 Ministries was born out of a passion to help people know & fulfill God’s calling in their lives and my attempt to model this within my own life.
While helping others to find and follow God’s Calling has always been at the heart of this ministry, living this out in my own life initially resulted in three branch ministries:
Seeing is Believing partnered with local Churches and other organizations to collect used eye glasses and took them to people in countries where professional eye-care wasn’t available. While an important part of this ministries founding, Seeing is Believing is no longer an active ministry.
Ambassadors of Reconciliation focuses on bridge building efforts in areas closed to evangelistic outreach. Initially, this ministry was focused on Eritrea, however, there are no efforts currently underway to areas closed to Christians. Instead, the focus is now on cross-cultural ministry of any kind.
Fulfilling God’s Calling is the passion and the basis of Ephesians 6-6 Ministry. See below for a description of this on-going ministry.
Reaching the Unreached focuses on establishing churches in areas where Christian resources are lacking. This ministry is currently focused on Japan which is the second largest unreached nation in the world behind Bangladesh. In order to introduce people to the on-going effort in Japan, we will lead short-term mission trips to Osaka, Japan to raise support for Johan and Haruko Strydom who lead Osaka International Baptist Church (OIBC) in Takatsuki, part of the Osaka metroplex.
Cross-Cultural Ministry provides resources to help equip people to minister in cultures different than their own. Evangelizing in areas that have never heard of a creator God, Adam and Eve, or original sin, much less Jesus Christ our savior. Other differences that impact missions include Guilt/Conscience vs. Shame/Honor or Individualism vs. collectivism and how we view money.
Fulfilling God’s Calling provides material to help people understand God’s specific calling for their lives and enables people to follow God’s leading in that call, whether through their local Church and/or parachurch ministries or through a more direct response.
To be successful, we need people like you to lift us up in prayer, volunteer in one or more areas of ministry, and provide financial support through a onetime gift or by partnering with us on a more regular basis.
“May we each answer God’s call not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.”
